Tripwire Interactive made some announcements about Chivalry 2’s content today. The game will join Xbox Game Pass on both PC and consoles, starting today. Players can also look forward to equipping themselves with new dual-wielded weaponry and chaotic weaponry in a completely new map that has received a content update.
Tripwire Presents released a new trailer to celebrate the game’s announcement. It shows off the Reinforced Update content and celebrates its arrival on Game Pass. Below is the trailer.
What’s the Reinforced update to Chivalry 2 then? This update introduces the game’s first dual-wielded weapon: The Katars. They are a pair that combines deadly, armor-piercing knives for quick, close-range strikes. It was designed for the Ambusher Class and is a fast, stab weapon that does no damage to opponents. It encourages players to use dodges and have good footwork, since it has a weak block.
The update also includes a new map, The Hippodrome. This map was created from scratch to show the new Tenosian Invasion horse combat feature. This epic arena houses spike traps and flamethrowers – and features open spaces, providing many opportunities for horseback jousting and lance charges.
The Reinforced Update to Chivalry 2 also includes existing maps for mounted horse combat, The Raid on Aberfell and The Siege of Rudhelm. These maps are available for players who want more horseplay in Chivalry 2.
Moreover, both new and veteran players can answer the call to arms with Chivalry 2: King’s Edition. The new game edition is now available for $59.99 on PC. This edition includes exclusive cosmetic armor, made famous by the faction leaders of the original Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. It also includes in-game currency and premium currency. Upgrade to the King’s Edition if you already own Chivalry 2.
