AYANEO has unveiled new designs for the company’s website GEEK & AYANEO 2 handheld gaming consolesYou can find the pricing and release dates of both systems here. AYANEO, the only handheld manufacturer to have a substantial library of systems, is outside of GPD. GPD primarily designs handheld gaming systems and hybrid notebooks. One-netbook and Steam (with their Onexplayer Mini, Steam Deck) are the only companies that have not released varying systems or price points to match the level of AYANEO/GPD.

AYANEO reveals GEEK & AYANEO 2 handheld gaming consoles offering the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U APU at a premium pricing tier

AYANEO will be using the AMD Ryzen7 6800U mobile processor to power its next-generation designs. However, the AMD mobile processor has a high price. The Chinese manufacturer has announced the pricing and release date of their AMD Ryzen7 6800U handheld variants. These will be available for the GEEK or AYANEO 2, with the first system going for $949 and then the second for $1,099.

Both systems from AYANEO are available for pre-purchase through crowdfunding campaigns. Sometimes, the price is reduced, also known as “Early Bird”, or “Super Early Bird” pricing. Due to the smaller number of systems available, the lower price will be in effect for a shorter time.

The AYANEO GEEK models can be ordered in Fantasy Black (800p resolution) and Crystal Purple (1200p resolution). Other than the updated processor, little has changed between the two systems. The Crystal Purple may be a more popular choice for console gamers who are looking for retro designs or premium emulation. The standard Fantasy Black colorway will receive more general sales.

The AYANEO 2 is anticipated to offer up to four colors — Starry Black, Sky White, B. Duck, Retro Power. Each is available in different configurations with the AMD Ryzen7 6800U processor, as you can see below.


The GEEK system is the company’s standard handheld. It usually offers less power and size that the flagship AYANEO 2. However, it has a larger screen with more memory options and more memory options. GEEK is also the cheapest option for consumers and will be a great choice for those who want a mobile gaming platform that can play most PC games.


It will be interesting to see what other handheld PC gaming companies will offer in terms of color options and if prices will decrease over the next six-months.

Official shipping of the new AYANEO 2 & AYANEO GEEK systems begins in December 2022.
