Fortnite Chrome Splash Guide –Where to Find and How to Use it

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 introduces Chrome Splash, a new and interesting item. Chrome Splash can be used on your own to make you faster and more chromed. However, this item can also be used to throw on other objects such as walls. This guide will include all the necessary information about Fortnite’s new Chrome Splash, as well as tips and strategies.

Where can I find chrome splashes in Fortnite?

There are many Chrome Splashes available in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. These can be found in chests and on the map. You can also find them by destroying any chromed structures. Chrome on the island is almost everywhere, so you shouldn’t have any difficulty getting these items.

If you can’t find them anywhere, however, you can always head to Maximillian, an NPC located on a floating platform between Shifty Shafts and Coney Crossroads, near the lake, just below the main road. You will be able to buy Chrome Splashes at 250 Gold each. Refer to the map below and locate the NPC by looking at the blue marker.

How to Use Chrome Splashes

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 introduced Chrome Splashes, a new Epic item. You can carry up 8 at a time, and you can throw them on your teammates, buildings, or yourself. You or your allies will become shiny and immune to fire in the first case. You will also be able to turn into a blob that sprints faster and dashes but can’t attack. You will be able to pass a wall if you sprint towards it. However, the dash can drain your stamina so make sure to use it wisely.

While you are in the blob, you will be immune to fall damage. If you are struck by other players, your normal but-chromed form will be restored until the Epic item’s expiration. In fact, the impact of the Chrome Splash won’t last forever on yourself or your teammates. This form will only last for a little over 30 seconds.

Let’s talk about the effect of the Chrome Splash on buildings now. This item can be launched on a wall to allow you to pass through it and get to the other room within a few seconds. You cannot jump through ceilings and floors in this instance. The structure will be permanently affected by the Chrome Splashes. Chrome Splashes can also be used on cars and are resistant to fire.

To escape the Storm faster and run away from any difficult situations, you can use the Chrome splash on yourself. While in combat, you can activate it to become immune from fire damage, so any Grenade or Firefly Jar thrown by enemies won’t affect you.
